Everyone has had them, tiny scratches on your vehicle that you can't help but notice from miles away. At Select Automotive, we feel keeping our drivers informed on how to care for their vehicle is extremely important, so we have provided the necessary information to take care of these scratches yourself.

  1. Choose the proper paint by using your vehicle's factory color code.
  2. Clean the scratch and remove any rust.
  3. Prepare the area by using 220-grit sandpaper.
  4. If the scratch is deep, first apply a primer to bare metal.
  5. Touch up the area using the paint you chose.
  6. Allow the paint to cure for at least 24 hours before driving.

If the scratches are too severe or the task seems too daunting, bring your vehicle down to the dealership and our specialists will give you a hand. These can also be taken care of when you schedule your regular vehicle service at Select Automotive.
